Receiving/Inventory Clerk
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Receiving and Inventory Clerk to join our restaurant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, and managing inventory for our restaurant, ensuring accurate stock levels, and maintaining a clean and organized storage area. Must have some POS and Microsoft office suite experience.
Responsibilities:
An understanding of inventory flow and accountability
Receive and inspect deliveries, verifying quality and quantity of products
Stock and store inventory in a clean and organized manner
Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy using our POS system for inventory accuracy.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, receipts, and shipments
Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to management
Collaborate with the kitchen/admin team to ensure proper stock rotation and minimize waste
Maintain a clean and organized storage area, adhering to safety and sanitation standards • Assist with monthly inventory audits and physical counts
Enter vendor information, recipe cards, prices and other data information into the POS backend.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field
High school diploma or equivalent required
Basic math skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with inventory management software is required
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
